Hello! I am Paul Sham.

I am an interaction designer and a front-end developer.

I design visually.

When thinking through design challenges or generating new ideas, my sketchbook is my sidekick in design. I look at design beyond aesthetics in order to create a purpose and flow to the interactions that I create.

I am interactive.

I am truly passionate about interactions because I enjoy the human element of design. I focus on designing for people's experiences and am determined to have a positive impact through these interactions.

My three goals in design:

  1. To positively impact people through the interactions that I design.
  2. To craft interactive experiences with a thoughtful design process.
  3. To make the Internet a better place, one usable website at a time.

Who am I and how did I get here?

Find out a little more about me and my journey.

I am originally from Toronto and currently reside in London, Ontario. I work as a junior interactive designer at Surge Communications.

My journey began when I took a Media Arts class in Grade 10. From that moment on, multimedia design has been my life. Eight years later, I graduated from Media Theory and Production, a joint program between the University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College.

I discovered my passion for interaction design at the Instructional Technology Resource Centre. At the ITRC, my greatest achievements were designing educational applications that would impact students and improve their learning experience.

I am driven and focused on details. I approach every project as a way to challenge myself to create better design solutions.

Besides design, I also love food (both cooking and eating), discovering new music and the Internet.

Enough words. What have I done?

Please enjoy this selection of my work.

Let's connect.
